You?’ He gives the brunette a nod before he smiles.īack to the dorm is the last place they both wind up returning. ‘You on your way home?’ followed by a prompt ‘Yeah. There’s a brief silence with Minako being uncertain as to whether or not it would be appropriate for her to continue on her way or not before Akihiko speaks up once more. His greeting is polite and friendly and Minako replies appropriately in kind. He blinks absently-almost as though he figured her presence to be but an apparition of his mind-before he actually says anything. He doesn’t notice her until she’s already descended more than half of the remaining steps. But despite the aggressively possessive glints in the other girls’ eyes, Minako could easily deduce that Akihiko’s trouble delved further the surface problem of semi-stalking. It only took a quick glance around the corner to locate as to what may have left Akihiko so uncertain. He seemed as much lost as he seemed as though he belonged lingering there absently at the bottom of the stairwell. She’d never actually utilized that particular stairwell before, but she had been told on multiple occasions that it made for a decent shortcut and today a shortcut out of here sounded most delightful. It had been a wearisome day-the meeting, the arguing, the deboggle, the aversion, the resolution, and finally freedom-and tiredly, after bidding Hidetoshi farewell, Minako made her way down the back stairwell. Minako had been unable to refuse Mitsuru’s offer for her to join the student council and only a few months in the young woman found herself rather submerged in their efforts and goals. Akihiko just ‘was’ and never anything more until that day. Minako would greet him when returning to the dorm, a passing moment in the hall, and long tiresome nights spent together at Tarturus. But it would seem-somewhere amidst trying to assess the peculiarity of the situation and untangle the wound mystery-this weakness was something she eventually found herself quite fond of.Īkihiko-senpai and dorm-mate-had always been a constant, but he’d never seemed quite so omnipresent as he did lately. To this day she still finds it somewhat amusing to think that someone as rough and cool as Shinji managed to deal with Akihiko’s evident inability to socialize like a normal human being. Akihiko is often times socially inept and this is something Minako has long since come to realize.
